Norteas network

Norteas is a Nordplus network for Nordic and Baltic Theatre and Dance Institutions of Higher Education. We focus on sharing about our everyday life, learning from each other and aim to network and develop international cooperation and teaching of Theatre and Dance in the Nordic-Baltic area. Norteas included all 14 Nordic theatre- and dance academies of higher education until 2007. From 2008 onwards, additional four institutions from the Baltic countries are joining the network. New members are Latvijas Kultūras akadēmija from Latvia, Lietuvos Muzikos Ir Teatro Akademija from Lithuania, Eesti Muusika- ja Teatriakadeemia and Tartu Ülikooli Viljandi Kultuuriakadeemia both from Estonia.

Coordinating institution for the Norteas network is currently the Theatre Academy Helsinki  (TeaK) for the application 2009-10 and Tampereen yliopisto, Näty for the application 2010-11.

Department of Acting (University of Tampere) will host the next annual network meeting with rectors and international coordinators in January 2010.
